My wise Grandfather said: ‘Don’t be a wallflower! Why don’t you spend your spare time doing business marketing and attract good foreign investments into Singapore?
Don’t let your “money-making genes” inside idle! Do you see how we came from other parts of the World and built up the present Singapore? Yes, with blood, sweat and much sacrifices and how we have stayed united regardless of age, race and religion. We have faithfully supported each other. Never forget that the Singaporeans next to you are your buddies. Remember that the foreigners in our land are also our brothers and sisters, so be nice to them.’
Look at our beautiful and peaceful “little red dot”; it is the perfect place for many to set up their Business / Manufacturing Hubs here.
If we want to improve our job market within the Country, we need more foreign investments and entrepreneurs to set up their businesses here.
We have been actively doing marketing to invite foreign investments into Singapore and we hope to invite all smart Singaporeans to cooperate in this work to build up our Nation. It is definitely not easy as every marketing task needs hard work and good preparation.
Dear fellow Singaporeans, let’s be united and work towards a better future!
You asked, ‘What those who are paid to do this work have been doing?’
Well, you can observe the results yourself. No one can force them to love Singapore and serve the people from their hearts. Why don’t we just treat them as “transparent” & ignore them completely? We will do our best to make Singapore grow and prosper. If you probe further, you may end up having a heart attack due to extreme distress; that’s bad for your health.

We heard in the News on 22 January 2015 that eBay is going to cut 7% of the workforce (around 2000 jobs) and American Express is cutting 4000 jobs.
Later in the World Economic Forum at Davos, the President of the European Central Bank Mr. Mario Draghi announced the details on the Quantitative Easing that will be adopted to boost the Economy. The forum also highlighted the high jobless rates for youths amounting to as high as 50% for some European Countries.
How about others including the many cases unreported in the News?
We are sending this message to you if you are also affected by this gloomy economy and want you to stay optimistic and do not lose hope, because you are NOT the Causation … All the hardship that many are experiencing now are the aftermath of the Economic crisis that started in 2007-2008, which Economists and Rulers around the World are still struggling to fix.
These are what have been recorded in Wikipedia:
“Many causes for the financial crisis have been suggested, with varying weight assigned by experts. The U.S. Senate's Levin–Coburn Report concluded that the crisis was the result of "high risk, complex financial products; undisclosed conflicts of interest; the failure of regulators, the credit rating agencies, and the market itself to rein in the excesses of Wall Street." The Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission concluded that the financial crisis was avoidable and was caused by "widespread failures in financial regulation and supervision," "dramatic failures of corporate governance and risk management at many systemically important financial institutions," "a combination of excessive borrowing, risky investments, and lack of transparency" by financial institutions, ill preparation and inconsistent action by government that "added to the uncertainty and panic," a "systemic breakdown in accountability and ethics," "collapsing mortgage-lending standards and the mortgage securitization pipeline," deregulation of over-the-counter derivatives, especially credit default swaps, and "the failures of credit rating agencies" to correctly price risk. The 1999 repeal of the Glass-Steagall Act effectively removed the separation between investment banks and depository banks in the United States. Critics argued that credit rating agencies and investors failed to accurately price the risk involved with mortgage-related financial products, and that governments did not adjust their regulatory practices to address 21st-century financial markets. Research into the causes of the financial crisis has also focused on the role of interest rate spreads. “
Dear Friends, let’s thank God that many of us do not have anything related to the Causation and remember this encouraging quote from Saint Paul:
“We know that by turning everything to their good God co-operates with all those who love Him, with all those that He has called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8:28)
Just look at that Joseph, son of Jacob, God had turned him from a slave to the Governor of Egypt (Encouragements-251). The World is not short of professionals or people who could do the job, but what’s lacking is people who could do well in the job and also “People of Character” who are responsible in words and deeds when they are placed in a fiduciary capacity. Just look at how this Economic Crisis started in the first place!
Let’s continue to develop ourselves to be “faithful stewards” of God that are destined to do great things to benefit the World and become blessings for others!

It was reported in the News on 29 January 2015: ‘Sands Profit in Singapore Doubled’.
This is perfect news for those working in Casino Sands in Singapore and all the shareholders.
You asked, ‘What has it to do with me?’
Isn’t it obvious that the “profit” must come from someone’s pocket? Definitely not only one, but many for Sands to have their profit doubled.
Is anyone close to you like gambling? You may want to check all your assets including all valuable items to ensure that they are not “accidentally & involuntarily” fallen into the Sands’ treasury when he/she was forced to repay gambling debts in secret. If you have equitable interests in any properties, you may want to check the property registrations to ensure that the “legal owners” are still the same.
You complained, ‘I am distressed. Who proposed to have the Casinos built in the first place?’
See the records in Wikipedia. We shall let all Singaporeans including the Rulers decide what “good contributions” the Casinos have for our society and economy till this day. We were informed that profitable businesses were forced to close down as business owners needed huge amount of money to repay gambling debts, we shall not mention names to protect the privacy of individuals.
Studies have shown that all who are unable to repay their gambling debts would end up with one or more of these common destinies:
Commit Crimes such as robbery/theft/murder, Suicide, Mental Illness, Broken Family.
My wise Grandfather said, ‘It is a no-brainer to have the Casinos built, even a clumsiest worker knows this. And now it doesn’t work. ’
He could be blunt as he is now over 100, so please do not get offended, he meant no harm. Do you agree with him?
We shall let all Smart Singaporeans decide if it is an insult to our intelligence to need to rely on the gambling business to boost our wealth & the economy.
The 10 year old Johnny shouted, ’I want to be a professional with proper standing in the Market, I am not stupid!’
We have no further comment.

See the Blessings of Abraham > Encouragements-259.
The Feast of the Holy Family, First Reading: Extracted from the Book of Genesis 15:1-6, 21:1-3
The word of the Lord was spoken to Abram in a vision, ‘Have no fear, Abram, I am your shield; your reward will be very great.’
‘My Lord,’ Abram replied ‘what do you intend to give me? I go childless...’
Then Abram said, ‘See, you have given me no descendants; some man of my household will be my heir.’
And then this word of the Lord was spoken to him, ‘He shall not be your heir; your heir shall be of your own flesh and blood.’
Then taking him outside he said, ‘Look up to heaven and count the stars if you can. Such will be your descendants’ he told him. Abram put his faith in the Lord, who counted this as making him justified.
The Lord dealt kindly with Sarah as he had said, and did what he had promised. So Sarah conceived and bore a son to Abraham in his old age, at the time God had promised.
Abraham named the son born to him Isaac, the son to whom Sarah had given birth.
